The MechaHeat system for floor heating by free heating cables is comprised of the following parts:
- Installation strip
- Heating cable
- Cold ends for connection of the heating cable to the supply
- Set for connection (with sleeves)
- Temperature controller
The heating cable is equipped with protective grounding, an external insulation jacket of waterproof PVC, a mechanically resistant insulation layer of PTFE or XLP braid. The cable is approx. 7 mm in diameter.
Temperature control
The purpose of heating is also decisive for the temperature control system.
An electronic thermostat with floor sensor is used for tempering.
For main heating, each room must have a room thermostat and floor sensor to sense temperature.
In the case of temperature control depending on the weather, it is necessary to provide instrumentation, such as a switch clock, charging control, and an outside sensor.
Installation:
First of all, it is necessary to determine the place where the thermostat and floor sensor will be placed and the method of placing loops. Then a protective tube for inserting the sensor must be installed (e.g. ΓΈ15 x 1 mm in copper) and it will lie between to cable loops. Using the protective tube for inserting the sensor ensures that the floor sensor may be replaced later if necessary. So-called mounting strips are to be attached to the floor (using steel nails), then the heating cable is attached to these mounting strips by clamping into retainers that are bent around the cable. The cold ends and the sensor cable are brought through a PVC tube to the thermostat or indirectly (an easier installation) to the mounting box or boxes and then to the thermostat.
