One of the most important reasons for the heating of these surfaces is prevention of both bodily injuries and material damage due to slipping on a slippery surface in winter conditions. For example, in the case of loading tunnels, the waiting time or standstill is also eliminated. The system also eliminates damage caused by frost in the surface layer of the road and subsequent damage on the environment (due to salting) is eliminated.
