Heating pads

By vulcanising a resistance wire to plates of silicon rubber, flexible heating pads of all possible shapes are made; they can be used for the heating of apparatus, containers, hoppers, smaller tanks, etc. (see also barrel heating). A great advantage is a very good distribution of heat, a constant low temperature of the pad and the possibility to transfer high power. These pads are mostly firmly clamped or glued. The pad may also be vulcanised directly on a metal surface.
