Design

The construction of plate heating elements is identical to that of strip elements, but plate heating elements are flat, or angled. Also, there are a large number of possibilities of electrical connection for plate heating elements. Elements can be equipped with thermal couplings, holes (cut-outs) and/or grooves. For good transfer of heat it is important that the heating element is properly attached to the heated object. To ensure this, the plate heating elements can be supplied with clamping plates.

 

Use

Plate heating elements are used in various flat heat-conductive metal parts such as machine parts (in machines for plastic and rubber processing), matrixes, welding dies, presses for hot mould pressing, tanks, plates for temperature maintenance, etc.
